page contents ZIDANE A GINIUS?? – Real FootballCR7

This is question football fans, pundits have been trying to unravel.
Zizou as he is fondly called was a former Madrid player, he won 3 balloon d or during a glittering career, his ability to read the game in a second sets him apart.

He first started his coaching career with Madrid’s castilla team, he had no much success there till Ancelloti arrived to coach the first team and he became his Assistant. Under the management of ancelloti Madrid won there most craved 10th UCL.
Then a trophyless season followed and Ancelloti was shown the exit door, his immediate replacement Benitez was quite a catastrophe and he was sacked during the middle of his first season.

Then comes Zidane, he was first made a temporary head, but given the success of his first season he was given a long term contract.
The impact zizou had was instant, he bounded the dressing room, created a winning atmosphere and that same season Madrid won there 11th UCL title.

Zidane second season was Was more of a success leading Madrid to there 12th UCL and 33rd la liga title.
Now in 2017/2018 season Madrid has looked a shadow of the only team that just recently won the UCL back to back. And these can be attributed to Zidane, he has the large share of the blame. Starting from his transfer policies, Zidane policies during the last transfer window was catastrophic to say the least and Madrid are paying dearly for it.

Also as a player zidane has been known for his headiness and it’s costing him dearly.
When benzeama was out of form for the majority of the season, before the recent turn around he’s having now, zidane should have benched him but he kept faith in him and it has resulted in lots of lost point for Madrid laliga.
Tactically, zidane preference of playing isco in a 4-4-2 diamond formation is terrible the truth be told, it worked last season but he has been caught out and there should have been a tactical switch.

It can be said that zidane isn’t a tactical genius But when it comes to motivating players, bringing out the best in them zidane is the Picasso of the art.
With this season in ruins and the only solace left is for Madrid to triumph in UCL zidane will have his work cut out for him.
Let’s hope the boss learns his lesson from this tactically catastrophic season. Zidane is the man for the job but he needs to understand that sometimes when things aren’t working as planned, little bit of changes are required if not wholesomely.
